Jul 30th 09 - Harlow FoodBank

The Harlow FoodBank was launched on the 20th April 2009 as part of a national network of Foodbanks supporting individuals and families in crisis, giving out nutritionally balanced emergency food and offering addtional help by putting people in touch with relevant agencies who can offer further support.  Since the launch many professional agencies across the town have agreed to hold vouchers so that they can issue them to those people and families that they idenitify as needing emergency food.  The FoodBank at the Gateway Christian Fellowship is open on Fridays between 11am and 2pm so that people with a voucher can come and receive a warm welcome, a drink and a foodbox.
