About Gateway Christian Fellowship

GCF was established in 1977 in a small Essex village called Matching Tye.  In the early 80s, we moved into Harlow because we felt God was calling us to be here. For many years we had a vision to have a church centre that was a base to serve the local community whilst we rented halls for our public meetings.  In 2005 this dream became a reality with the opening of the Gateway Centre.  Although we  had a rather nomadic existence in the intervening years,  there has always been a strong link for us with Staple Tye and the surrounding area in the south of Harlow.

We believe that there is a whole lot more to church life than just meetings and buildings but, even so, we are extremely grateful for the provision of the Gateway Centre and we want to see this valuable resource used to help GCF be a help for the people of Harlow.
