Sign Language

Gateway Freedom Church provides sign language classes for interested people from across the Harlow area during term-time on Tuesday afternoons and evenings at the Gateway Centre.

The classes are split into three learning levels. These are complete beginners, pre-Stage 1 and a practice group for those who have passed Stage 1.

Courses for complete beginners start in September each year, whereas more experienced signers can join at any time.

The groups are designed to be fun rather than concentrated hard work. Use is made of video as well as many games in sign language to help improve understanding and signed communication skills.

The courses are based in the Gateway Centre and are run by Pam Selby and Myra Sears, who would be delighted to hear from you or anyone that you know who would be interested in gaining this language skill.
